Trees, flowers and water

In 2013  Sarah's focus was largely on painting aspects of Stockport parks. She chose this as a theme as Stockport Council have been forced to make cuts in their parks budget and had a consultation on the future of Stockport Parks. She walks in one or another of the parks most days, with her dog, before they head to the studio. So she thought she would paint some of the things she enjoyed in the  parks. Sarah had a successful exhibition in Marple in March where some 8 of these paintings were sold. During July, three of the paintings, namely 'Hostas and Lambs Ears', 'Astilbes and Iris' and 'The Path to Glossop Road' are exhibited at the 'Art with a Heart' Exhibition entitled 'Aurora Borealis' which is located at 82 George Street, Altrincham.
